Delete your Haylio account
You can delete your Haylio account and its data at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
In the app
- Open Haylio and go to the Discover tab.
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon at the top right.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account and data.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
By email
Send a request from the Google account you sign in to Haylio with, so we can match it to your account.
Email erexstudio9@gmail.comWe delete the account within 7 days and reply to confirm. If the request comes from a different address, we may ask you to verify that the account is yours.
What gets deleted
Everything attached to your account is deleted at the same time:
- Your profile: display name, username, avatar, bio, prompt answer, interests, mood and gender settings
- Your Google sign-in link (email address and Google account ID)
- Your connections, connection requests and chat requests
- Private messages and photos that have not already expired
- Messages you sent in chat rooms, your room memberships and room bans
- Your stored Nearby area, blocks, daily cards and notification tokens
- Reports you made, and reports made about your account
- Your Premium purchase record
What is kept
- Nothing else in our database. Private messages already delete themselves 24 hours after they are sent, and room messages after 7 days. Any photo file still in storage is removed by the automatic cleanup within 24 hours of being sent.
- Server logs (IP address and request time) kept by our hosting provider for security, which expire on their own within a short period.
- Payment records held by Google Play if you bought Premium. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions.
Only want to hide?
You don't have to delete everything. In Settings you can turn off Nearby (your stored area is deleted immediately), hide from Tonight's people and username search, or sign out. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
